Dima & Lama Hattab kick off to Alaska supported by King Abdullah II Fund for Development

The Jordanian runners Dima and Lama Hattab have just joined a training camp on 9 February 2007 in Alaska supported by King Abdullah II Fund for Development, this training camp will be followed by chain of other similar ones in order to climb Everest summit in 2008.

“We have our dream to accomplish many distinguished sporty achievements not only locally or in the Arab World but also internationally to present the competitive Jordanian sport, we are honored and humbled by the great support of King Abdullah II Fund for Development to be the first initiative to help us in our mission to be the first Arab female twins climb the Everest together.” Lama Hattab said.

“Alaska region, which is a state of the United States of America located in the extreme northwest portion of North America, is considered a perfect place to learn how to live in cold climates since the winter there is a very long dark one, temperatures often are Sub-zero. The ten days training organized by "Alaska Ultra Sport”.

"The sisters have sent an electronic message advised the local press that they started the training by sleeping in the tent surrounded by snow in 15-C˚ tracking very hard diet system. “ Dima Hattab added.

The twin added enthusiastically “It is the perfect time and chance to advance our skills in climbing; also we will promote our loved Jordan through the sport activities and creative youth capabilities. We are proud to let other people know how the king’s initiative and continued support for the youth urge all young to do their best to their country encouraged by his majesty belief in them to create the better future”

Referring to the fact that the official supporter for the runners “King Abdullah II Fund for Development” is a non profit private institution works to improve the social and economical aspect of life by supporting their talents in sport, culture, science art or any creative arena.

انا تمنيت لو تعرفوا ديما ولما عن قرب اكتر ، المسألة مش موضوع مادي ومستوى عيشة ، ديما و لما حبهم الاول الرياضة ولما يوقفوا عنها بيكون نفسيا صعب وما تفكر كل شي بسهولة صار و انما بعد محاولات كتيرة ، مزبوط يمكن في اولويات اكتر لنخدم فيها الناس الفقرا بس من ناحية تانية في اشي اسمه تنمية مواهب و اعتقد انك بتعرف في متسلق اردني حاول يطلع افرست وكان اله دعم كبير فما بالك لما الموضوع يتعلق بشي فعلا بيلفت انتباه العالم وخصوصا انهم توأم واناث

Tamara,,Nobody said anything bad about your friends,Dema or lama.we are talking how we should set our priority in order to find way to solve our problem,Iam for sport,100%.Iam from Jordan and I care for my country and it's people ,especially poor who crushed under this feudal system,for how long can we afford to turn blind eye on this global injustice?

موضوع العدالة الاجتماعية في البلد مفقود سواء في نوعية التعليم ، الصحة،فرص العمل المتساوية،الحقوق القانونية،حرية التعبير،بشوف الاردن عم يشهد تراجع ، الغني بيصير اغنى والفقير افقر وفي النهاية قوى التغيير ملت من المحاولة وصار في احباط ، فبالنسبة الي صرت اشوف كلمة عدالة اجتماعية كبيرة وصعب نوصل لطرفها

Tamara,,you seem very decent young women who cares about justice,human rights and economic and social justice,the internet is an excellent tool to promote understanding and truth.Talk to your friend there are 100s around you who care about the same issues,be an active member of your community,the truth shall make you free.Just look at Toajan Al Faisal,she is a remarkable women who cares about young women like you,we must build a civil societies and non-violent movement to confront the old paradigm.

شكرا على تعليقك، بناء مجتمع مدني بيتطلب اول شي نوفر الحماية القانونية لمواطن والصحفي بالتعبير الحر ومساواة الفرص بغض النظر عن الجغرافيا، بس القوانين أهم شي واللي بيعرفها بيتأكد كيف انه الحكومات بتحكي شي لكن الباطن مختلف تمامان في النهاية كل واحد بيدور على حياة أفضل وعلى الاغلب بره هادي البلد لانه زهقنا عيشتنا
